BYUI Mentors

BYU-Idaho Mentors are a group of alumni and friends of the university who provide advice and networking support to both students and alumni.  Mentors are encouraged to:
  1. Respond promptly to student and alumni requests for support
  2. Provide honest feedback
  3. Champion BYU-Idaho in their local communities and in the workplace
  4. Participate in our active groups on LinkedIn and Facebook
  5. Serve as the eyes and ears of the university 
    (note: Mentors should share both negative and positive feedback using the Alumni Office as the liaison.  E-mails should be sent to alumni@byui.edu or call toll free to 1-800-537-2586)

I am serving as the Associate Director of Themed Entertainment at Rubicon Studios in Los Angeles. I manage numerous international projects and team members and serve as Creative Director of all location based entertainment. Currently we are building a theme park called The Red Sea Astrarium in Aqaba, Jordan; which has been commissioned and is overseen by The King himself. I manage the Creative team for this project, developing the storyline, artwork, music and character development of the attractions in the park - as well as oversee the construction of the attractions themselves.

Prior to Christopher's current role at Sealed Air he completed his MBA at Harvard University.  He also spent four years working on Wall Street in New York City for the investment bank Credit Suisse. He joined the bank working for the Risk Management team, advising Fortune 500 companies on strategies for mitigating interest rate and foreign currency risks. After two years in he changed roles to trading Corporate Bonds, taking him overseas to London. After trading there for a short time, he was invited to launch a new trading desk in New York City within the commodities space, trading oil, gas, and electricity futures. Prior to practicing orthodontics, Nathan received dental training at UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. After dental school, Nathan attended Saint Louis University’s Center for Advanced Dental Education where he performed research on orthodontic miniscrew implants, taught dental students at Southern Illinois University, and completed residency training in 2010. During his educational career, Nathan was blessed with opportunities to provide dental care to underserved populations through the national Give Kids A Smile program and the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club. Though his service and educational opportunities have varied through the years, Nathan believes that his most memorable experiences were those he had as a student attending BYU-Idaho. He hopes to be a mentor to those seeking a similar career path and feels a deep love and appreciation for those who are a part of this wonderful university.
